We are seeking capable and experienced professionals to join The Hotel Britomart in the position of a Guest Service Agent. You will thrive on immersing yourself in the brand and hotel operation and be proud to be part of The Hotel Britomart team. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exemplary customer service by embracing our brand behaviours and service philosophies, striving to exceed expectations and ensure each customer experience is memorable. Be an excellent communicator with a strong ability to develop cooperative working relationships with diverse client groups.
About the Role
The Hotel Britomart has opportunities for enthusiastic and career driven team players to join our team as Guest Services Agent (Part Time) in our Front Office Team.
- Deliver the warmest of welcomes with a friendly ‘Kia Ora’ or the fondest of farewells with a ‘Haere rā’.
- Actively contribute to the department’s key performance indicators: TripAdvisor, Net Promotor Score, RevMax.
- Perform valet parking duties.
- Be familiar with all room types, rates and services provided by the hotel.
- Process guest mail, messages, and deliveries.
- Handle all reservation requests in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Cross train in night audit duties.
- You can work independently but you also acknowledge that your work is a key part of the team that delivers memorable moments
- Your grooming and personal presentation sets you apart from the rest
- You have an absolute passion for New Zealand culture, and are environmentally and sustainably savvy
- You will ideally have prior experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 star hotel
- You have experienced the advantage of hotels operational systems and possess knowledge of Protel/Opera.
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred
- A holder of a full New Zealand driving license
- Valid New Zealand working rights is essential
