The Landing

Located in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, The Landing is a place of outstanding natural beauty and historic significance. Designed to realise the potential of the land and preserve it for future generations, the property is home to several residential sites, including the Cooper Residence, the Gabriel Residence, the Vineyard Villa and the Boathouse, operating together as a bespoke accommodation offering. A gold medal-winning vineyard was established in 2007 and a boutique winery was added in 2020. An on-site commercial nursery helps support a multi-decade native reforestation project.

The Position

The Landing grounds maintenance team is responsible for presenting one of New Zealand's premier properties. The team looks after the exteriors of four luxury house and gardens and maintain large “park like” grounds with extensive lawns, walking tracks and roads connecting regenerating wetlands, coastline and native forest. 

This is a highly challenging task that requires hard working, dedicated people who take pride in their work and enjoy earning their results. 

These results are achieved through team work, this position is for someone who thrives in a team environment. The team is led by people who understand the challenges and provide the support and all the necessary components for the team to flourish. 

The variety of work includes landscaping and gardening involving the use of a variety of equipment from small hand tools to larger machinery such as tractors, forklifts, bobcats, mowers and ATV's.  

The ideal candidate does not need any previous experience however, an enjoyment of physical work, the great outdoors, the ability to work in a team/as a team member, and a desire to learn is essential.
