The Landing

Located in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, The Landing is a place of outstanding natural beauty and historic significance. Designed to realise the potential of the land and preserve it for future generations, the property is home to several residential sites, including the Cooper Residence, the Gabriel Residence, the Vineyard Villa and the Boathouse, operating together as a bespoke accommodation offering. A gold medal-winning vineyard was established in 2007 and a boutique winery was added in 2020. An on-site commercial nursery helps support a multi-decade native reforestation project.

About the role

We are looking for either:

• qualified and experienced mechanic
• part-qualified mechanic
• motivated aspiring mechanic wanting to complete an apprenticeship

Qualifications & experience

• a trade qualification or similar / basic experience with workshop tools and equipment
• hands on experience with automotive maintenance
• basic computer skills
• experience maintaining farm machinery is an advantage

Tasks & responsibilities

• Assisting with the maintenance of vehicle fleet, farm machinery, small machines and other equipment.
• The keeping maintenance records
• Assessing faults, ordering parts and assisting with machinery purchases.
• Fabrication for projects as required.
