Night Operations Attendant

Are you someone who stays calm under pressure, notices when something is not right and enjoys a role where no two shifts are exactly the same?

We are looking for a dependable Night Attendant to help keep our precinct and car parking facilities safe, secure and operating smoothly overnight.

Based primarily in the Britomart Precinct, you will monitor CCTV, assist customers, respond to alarms and incidents, complete facility checks and travel between our Auckland CBD car park sites as needed.

The role operates on a roster between the hours of 7pm and 7.00am and requires someone who is confident working independently.

 

What you will be doing

• Monitoring CCTV for security, safety and operational issues
• Responding to customer enquiries, alarms and after-hours incidents
• Assessing issues and arranging or escalating the appropriate response
• Communicating with security and other on-duty personnel by radio
• Completing regular checks of buildings, car parks, public areas and equipment
• Driving between sites and undertaking practical tasks such as emptying bins, removing rubbish and installing signage
• Maintaining accurate incident records and clear shift handovers

What we are looking for

You will be reliable, practical and comfortable taking responsibility during overnight shifts. You will need:

 

 

• Good judgement and strong attention to detail
• A professional and helpful approach to customers
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer and numeracy skills
• A reasonable level of physical fitness
• A full New Zealand driver’s licence covering both manual and automatic vehicles
• The ability to complete background checks and drug and alcohol testing

Experience in security, parking, facilities, hospitality, customer service or night operations would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided.
